    Welcome back to school, new 8th graders!   Congratulations and God's blessings as you begin your last school year at Guardian.

    This week, the class will be reviewing classroom rules and procedures.  We will also be doing the spelling assignment for Unit 1.  We are doing this together as a review of how spelling units are to be done.  Next week, we will start Chapter 1 in the English book.  Besides spelling and English, as the year goes on, we will be doing some German lessons, as well as a unit on Old English.  I hope to introduce the students to many of the fascinating aspects of language study.
